Gabriel Jesus is leaving north London. The Brazilian has completed a switch to Barcelona on a three-year-deal after agreeing a personal terms with the Spanish club. Jesus signs for Barcelona until 2029 after agreeing a reduced salary with the club. The move sees Jesus leave Arsenal after four years where he made 123 appearances and scored 32 goals. Jesus won the Premier League with Arsenal but injuries, most notably a bad knee, and the emergence of other strikers meant that his role became less important. He featured sparingly last season, meaning that he will leave the Emirates with the job not entirely finished.

Jesus moved to Arsenal from Manchester City in 2022 where he was a star striker and initially had a good impact in London. Jesus’ move to Barcelona will see him team up with a number of his countrymen at the Nou Camp. Barcelona will pay around £8.6 million for the 29-year-old.
What will Jesus’ role be at Barcelona?
Jesus will have a chance to recapture some of his former glory in Barcelona. Jesus’ game is suited to Barcelona’s brand of football because he has good movement and link-up play, which could see him thrive under the Catalan side.
