After playing in Chelsea’s environmentally-oriented home, Nicolas Jackson found himself in a completely new football world at Bayern Munich thanks to his move. The forward was loaned to Bayern for the whole season in September 2025 under a season-long loan and made his debut in the No. 11. Jackson would be a very dynamic attacking figure and could bring many other attacking options and variety to the team, Bayern said.
Jackson played a largely complementary role to Harry Kane at Bayern, but proved to be a valuable addition last season (25/26). The Bavarian club’s stats reveal his official appearances for the season to be 33, with three assists and 10 goals, in addition to a Bundesliga and a Franz Beckenbauer Supercup title with the Masters.

It also provided Jackson with a taste of being a part of one of the biggest clubs in Europe, and an opportunity to play for the likes of Swansea’s attacking players in the Champions League. The club will not opt-in to the permanent transfer deal and Jackson will leave at the end of the current loan period in April 2026, however, Bayern did confirm in April, 2026 that they will not be making the permanent move.
For Jackson, the Bayern experience also offered the chance to adapt to a new tactical system and compete alongside some of Europe’s most experienced players. His pace, movement and ability to play across the front line gave Bayern another attacking option during a demanding season. Although his stay in Munich was temporary, regular exposure to Bundesliga and Champions League football added valuable experience to his career and could influence the next stage of his development.
Yet his days at Bayern would be the next crucial chapter in a career spanning years at Villarreal, Chelsea and Germany. Even though the loan agreement did not see him join Bayern for good, it did offer him some more experience in the continent’s top soccer leagues before the next step.
