Bayern Munich produced an impressive 7-0 win over Union Berlin to push Harry Kane one step closer to the record for the Bundesliga’s fastest player to build a 100-goal run in the division.
The record was beaten by the England captain, who broke Dieter Muller’s shot mark of 129 Bundesliga appearances into the milestone of 98. Kane then scored again to move to 101 goals in the Bundesliga and 152 in all his games for the club since joining in 2023.
Oktoberfest in the Allianz Arena and Bayern had their day wearing special kits for the occasion. Alphonso Davies got the move going, moving down the left side and finding Jamal Musiala with a pass which he blasted into the far corner in the 18th minute.
Michael Olise was caught inside the box by Tom Rothe and in the 39th minute Kane doubled for Bayern to put them up 2-0. It was just before half-time that he sent a wonderful shot over into the goal, through the left foot, to make it 3-0.

With the second half also being one-sided. After being pinpointed, Kane put his head on the ball to bring in Olise’s second goal of the evening, in the 54th minute. Ismael Saibari finished a career-best 70th minute on the bullet to make it 2 goals for the Summer signing.
Olise ended the night with two goals, putting in two just before the break having already scored a hat-trick in his side’s lead. The French winger collected the ball before rounding goalkeeper Frederik Ronnow to score from a tight angle and then netted another long-range beauty.
The record-breaking goal told a loud story about Bayern Munich’s attacking firepower as Kane and Olise combined their form to score the first of several believed to be outlandish goals.
Kane, in his post-match interview, also described as “proud” to hit 101 Bundesliga goals, and lauded his colleagues as making so many opportunities. He also announced he is content at the Munich club, and the talks regarding a new deal are ongoing as Bayern Munich is in talks about a renewed deal with the midfielder.
