Concacaf 2026 Qualifying Recap: USA, Canada and Mexico All BOOKed – But Who is Timing the Peak?

The FIFA World Cup begins on the 11th of June. As per the official announcement of FIFA, the United States, Canada, and Mexico (all of which are Concacaf countries) were the automatic co-hosts, confirmed by FIFA on August 31, 2022. There is no pressure, no qualifying trudge, no out-of-town games in unfriendly stadiums. Should be nice, and no time to go out and play.

The United States

As per the official draw, which took place on December 5, 2025, at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., Group D included the USMNT, and it had Paraguay, Australia, and Türkiye as its opponents. The fourth place that was considered last was originally assigned to the winner of a UEFA playoff; Turkey took it, beating Poland.
