UEFA has already revealed the venues for the 2028 and 2029 UEFA Champions League final tournament, and nothing was unexpected, as UEFA chose two of Europe’s best venues as hosts. Upon reaching an agreement on the host venues for the UEFA Champions League final tournament in 2028 and 2029 at the UEFA Executive Committee meeting in Thessaloniki, Greece, it was determined that the venue of the final in 2028 will be Munich Football Arena, aka Allianz Arena in Germany, and the venue for the 2029 final will be the renovated Spotify Camp Nou in Barcelona.

Meanwhile, the 2029 final in Barcelona will be the stadium’s first European club final in three decades, as the last time the modernized arena hosted a Champions League final was in 1999, when a late Manchester United fight beat Bayern Munich.
One of the main talking points of the announcement was the inclusion of Barcelona in the running for the 2029 match, with Barcelona having previously twice hosted the European Cup final. Additionally, the latest selection completes Barcelona’s ‘Espai Bara’ redevelopment project, which should increase the stadium’s capacity to nearly 105,000 by 2029. The decision was made in conjunction with other potential host cities such as the English capital of London and its Wembley Stadium. This triumvirate of hosting choices ensures that three of the continent’s most iconic stadiums will all be bringing the European football spotlight during the 2028 and 2029 seasons.
