FC Barcelona kicked off their 2026–2027 UEFA Champions League run in pretty calm, almost clinical fashion, grinding out a 5-1 win vs the Dutch side Feyenoord at Spotify Camp Nou. Hansi Flick sent out a bold offensive arrangement, and it felt like they were always in charge of the ball, pressing hard from the first whistle, plus it never really looked like Feyenoord had a proper way back in. In the end this result gave Barcelona those first three points in the unified league phase, and it again underlined that they’re right there with the top European title challengers.
Explosive start

The hosts took over right away, breaking that deadlock in the third minute, when Raphinha feinted past two defenders in- the penalty area and then finished neatly into the bottom corner. The summer acquisition Karim Adeyemi widened the gap in the 22nd minute, driving in from the left flank and curling a right-footed strike into the top corner for his first European goal while wearing Barcelona colors. Even so Feyenoord tried to respond, through Anis Hadj Moussa, but goalkeeper Joan García kept the visitors at arms length, not letting them get too close.
Control after the break
Barcelona didn’t cool down after halftime either, and in the 57th minute they practically ended the suspense. Pedri slipped in a sharp through ball, and Raphinha took it from there to grab his second goal of the night, like it was nothing. Then came Lamine Yamal, who in the 71st minute made a piece of club history by becoming the youngest captain in Barcelona’s history, at 19 years and 58 days, after Raphinha was subbed. Yamal also added his own highlight in the 77th minute, bending a 20-yard free-kick right through the defensive wall, no real rescue there.
Late strikes to lock it in
Feyenoord did get a short breath of relief in the 82nd minute when Sem Steijn finished a cross at the far post for a consolation. Still, Barcelona replied just three minutes later. Substitute debutant Gabriel Jesus nodded in a curling cross, and it came from Yamal. The final 5-1 score kept extending the story, pushing Feyenoord’s winless away run in European competitions to 12 matches, while also confirming Barcelona’s dangerous attacking momentum, again and again.
